Recent Work / 2009
This year I continue to paint rivers of the Olympic Peninsula, and I have also been doing some images of coastal pools inspired by visits to the Oregon Coast. In addition to watercolor I have been working more in plein air oil as well as rediscovering pastels.

Portrait of the Elwha River
The Elwha River, on Washington State's Olympic Peninsula, is a river on the brink of an historic dam-removal project. By painting various sections of the Elwha River as the restoration nears and then passes, the ongoing series of images created will portray a great river undergoing change.
